The Prince of Darkness has descended upon us, and together with his many minions, now has total control over the direction in which our country is now headed. The question is, will we come to our senses in time to allow us to vanquish him and as many of his minions as possible before the damage done becomes irreparable. For those that are busy doing his bidding our first opportunity to rid ourselves of at least some of them will come as early as this November unfortunately regarding the Prince himself, our chance doesn’t come until 2012. With the damage that has already been done in just one short year, 2012 seems so far away, and concern regarding just how much more damage can be inflicted on our country between now and then is truly frightening. Unfortunately though, we will have to wait that long before being presented with our opportunity to move on. But in order for us to meet with any degree of success, it will require that we raise our numbers significantly and make or voices too loud to be ignored, not only by the Prince and his partners in crime, but by all those who form the opposition Party as well. For they all must be made to understand exactly what it is that “We the people” expect regarding the size, shape, scope and power that is to be possessed by our government. Because, while this Prince may have come to us preaching "Hope and Change" and espousing an exuberant feeling of "Yes we can", as we found out all too soon it was all nothing more than his sleazy way of convincing us to blindly place our trust in him. Trusting him just long enough to elect him as our leader. Once elected however, he made it crystal clear that he cared very little for our desires regarding what we expect from our government, he cared only about his desires to expand it into every facet of our lives. Therefore, it was only after that sad realization had taken place, that some of us snapped out of our stupor and saw that we had been made into victims of one of the greatest political con jobs in our history. Still, there remains many who simply refuse to accept the fact that they were made fools of by this man and many more that simply do not care who or what this man actually is or what he seeks to do. The fact that he made, and continues to make, many promises to improve their lot in life, even though it comes at the expense to others, and the fact that he is dark skinned like them, is enough to ensure that they will remain loyal to him no matter what. But his drive to ruin our country will eventually come to impact even his most ardent of supporters, because at some point those from whom he insists on taking will eventually have nothing left to take. And when that happens, those to whom he has chosen to give, may become less than satisfied with him and begin to direct their support toward others who vow to continue to provide for them in the manner in which they have become accustomed.
Promises were made in the heat of the campaign, promises that disguised the radical nature of the candidate and that were not at all conducive to the maintaining of our rich heritage of freedom, liberty or the maintaining of our economic system that is the envy of the world. And yet many, whom I would suppose love their country, decided that it would be in the best interest of all if this man were to be elected into the position of being our president. Throughout his presidential campaign, and many times since being elected, he has continued to make the promise that for those of us who make less than $250k, we would not see our taxes go up, “Not one dime.” Well, it would appear that our Prince of Darkness might now be changing his mind. He now says that he is "agnostic" when it comes to the idea of raising of taxes on Americans who make less than $250k because we need to bring down the deficit. A deficit that he is mainly responsible for putting through the roof after a series of outrageously expensive and thoroughly wasteful pieces of legislation. Shouldn't he have made sure he had the money "before" he decided to spend it? It would seem that he has had his own "read my lips" moment. It was also during his campaign that, this man, this Prince of Darkness saw Americans, and I imagine continues to see them in much the same light, as being nothing more than greedy and selfish. He accused us of being a small percentage of the World's population guilty of consuming much more than our fair share of the World's resources. He fails to take proper note of, or simply seems to be content to remain blissfully ignorant of, the fact that this country is made up of the most giving people in the history of the World. We are a people who willingly give not only their money but make available to all, every one of the great discoveries made by the people of this great country. We didn't keep everything to ourselves, and the World is a much better place because of this country. Were it not for us, the rest of the World would not have progressed much further than 1800s. Granted we have had our share of stumbles along the way throughout our history, but when we recognized them for what they were we were quick to set things right, and much faster than any other nation on Earth. Our faults have been few and where and when they occurred it was because of men, men who thought they were better than others, knew more than others or simply who had more money than others. They were able to convince enough to listen to them because they, and they alone, were to be judged as being right. We hear from that same type of men today, some in government and some not, but one thing is for sure, none have what is best for this country as being near and dear to their hearts.
In recent years we have allowed ourselves to fall victim to the pointless protocol of political correctness, and to allowing what the Founders intended for us to be completely turned on its head. Thought must be now controlled, language has been mangled to the point of being nearly incoherent, with nothing meaning what it once did. Such things are called progressive, but I see them as being just the opposite. Sometimes I think we have arrived in George Orwell's 1984, with the government desiring the assuming and maintaining of control over every single aspect of our lives from the moment we are born to that time when we take our last breath. Now while he tried very little to hide what it was that he intended for us should he be victorious, this Prince also, through the expert telling of lies, made himself out to be less of the radical that he was portrayed as being by his opponent in the contest. Sadly, over time we have learned that we ignored the truth and bought into his lies. Lies that have resulted in our country being brought to the brink of financial and economic collapse by those who were entrusted by the people to be the caretakers of freedom, but who turned out instead, to be its undertakers. Undertakers working hard to bury the freedoms enjoyed in this country for which so many brave men and women have fought and died to protect.
So, I now go back to where it was that I started this little conversation, the time between now and 2012. If we are to salvage what is left of our country, and get it back on the path to prosperity we can ill afford to listen to men, and women, of the same political persuasion as this Prince of Darkness. They can no longer be trusted anymore than can the Prince himself. We must find those whom we can trust to defend our Constitution as written and who can articulate the importance of individual responsibility as well as self-reliance and how it is not the job of the government to do those things that we should be doing for ourselves. It must be understood that laziness on the part of an individual does not then require the rest of us, through government social programs, to pick up the slack. We are a nation of individuals, not some insane collective for the subsidizing of bad behavior. While I am willing to assist my fellow man however and whenever I can, I am not, and I refuse to be, my brother’s keeper. There are certain things that my "brother" should be expected to do for himself, or for that matter, herself. We all make choices throughout our lives, some good and some bad. And it is the end product of those choices, when placed together, that form what becomes the net result of our life. The very plain truth of the matter is that wherever we end up at the end of our lives is directly related to the decisions and choices we have made along the way. No one is responsible for the bad choices or decisions except the individual who makes them. If we choose to live in poverty, so be it, we have made a conscious decision to so and to not work to better ourselves. If because of some character flaw, individuals refuse to put themselves in a position to take advantage of available opportunities to improve their position in life, I have no sympathy for them. No one can, nor can any government, instill in us a desire for self-improvement or personal responsibility, it comes from within. There is no other country on the face of the planet where the opportunities available to all are so numerous and that with a little hard work, are so easy to attain. The stigma that was once attached to the accepting of handouts from the government, whether at the local level or national level, has long since evaporated. It has now gotten to the point where the mere mention of any requirement to "earn" that which is being provided "free of charge" from the government has become considered on par with being called racist. After years of blatant indoctrination at the hands of government controlled public education, it has become something considered to be as accepted behavior, behavior that is more often than not, actively encouraged by liberals. Their philosophy is, that if we are ever to find ourselves as being unable to provide for ourselves, the government will be standing at the ready, as it should be, to step in at a moments notice to take care of our every need. And we're told that we should feel no shame or embarrassment in that fact, because it is not our fault. The whole notion that the government, through the use of taxpayer supplied funds, should somehow become the safety net for all things ranging from bad personal and business decisions to individual laziness and bad personal habits, is what has led us to the financial meltdown that we're still trying to crawl out from under, no thanks to our Prince of Darkness.
I think now that after hearing all he promised over the course of his entire campaign, coupled with all he has promised over the course of the last 13 months, it is very safe to say that his words no longer carry any weight, with a substantial portion of the American people. They are now seen as being just words strung together, devoid of any meaning whatsoever, and simply read from his teleprompter. Now they may be stated ever so eloquently, but they mean absolutely nothing. More often than not, no matter what the subject he may be talking about, whatever comes out of his mouth is nothing more than a lie. It's like he can't help himself, he just makes things up and has the audacity to get miffed when he gets called on it, which I must admit is a rare event in the mainstream media. He has yet to learn that a lie, no matter how sincere it may sound, is still a lie. Maybe it's different in Chicago, but somebody needs to tell him, he ain't in Chicago anymore. It is because of his ulterior motives and thug tactics that he has now made our current fiscal and economic situation so much worse. And one cannot help but wonder if it that was by design. Let's face it, it makes the advancing of his Marxist agenda all the more easy to accomplish when he can bring about the required scenario where more Americans are without jobs, and with the loss of their jobs they are now losing their homes and can no longer provide for the healthcare they may have had while they remained employed. It would seem like all part of some dark and sinister master plan, the source of which would be our very own Prince of Darkness, Barry "almighty". He is following in the footsteps of those he, and many in his administration have mentioned as being individuals whom they admire. Men with names like Marx, Mao and to those here in American with names like Alinsky. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that what he is so busy trying to bring about has been tried before and on numerous occasions. And no matter how many times it has been tried, or where it has been tried, it has never met with any degree of success except among the wealthy elitists.
I heard a song recently on a country station that I sometimes listen to, the title was, “You’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything.” And I thought if only more people chose to follow that simple advice. To see those who do go to www.werewatchingyou.net
