NOVEMBER 2, 2010, MOMENT OF TRUTH, OR……NOT?

I’ve always had an extremely difficult time when it comes to attempting to fathom, in any way, shape, manner or form, the rationale behind the enthusiasm that those who comprise the Democrat Party have, throughout their long and storied history, to thoroughly undermine America and all that it stands for. And with them now being lead by our “Supreme Leader”, Barry "Almighty", there seems to be a renewed vigor with which they are now so determined to bring about the destruction of our country, financially, economically and internationally. So I ask myself, WHY IS THAT? And I'm not sure I can come with a suitable answer. Is it as simple as them having managed to lose their collective mind or should we be looking for an ulterior motive of some kind? Should we be concerned that there may be something more sinister going on? Is it all part of some “progressive” master plan, the goal of which I must not fully comprehend? Do they see it as being a method, however perverse, to advance their progressive agenda by using those among us who are uncommonly susceptible to manipulation through the guaranteed receiving of, or the threat of being called upon to forfeit, that continual government check? Are these people who are so eager to sell their votes completely unaware of the consequences that their selfish action will bring about? Has love of country now been replaced by an entitlement mentality that has been so engrained into the psyche of millions of Americans over the years by a corrupt Democrat Party that craves power above all else? And do those who find themselves at the lower end of the socio-economic scale through their own lack of motivation, now care so very little about what happens to this country, since it seems that their prime objective has become nothing more than to ensure that they continue getting their checks from Uncle Sugardaddy? Have we gotten to the point where a near majority of us now desire our government to provide for us womb to tomb care to the point where we are now willing to surrender so many of our liberties in return? I suppose you could say that to a certain degree that the Democrat plan can be said to have worked very successfully because many Americans now feel that they are entitled to have their bad behavior subsidized by the rest of us. And therefore they continue to vote for this pathetic bunch of political hacks who are members of a political party that hasn't got a real leader anywhere among them. But I don't understand how the Democrats can continue to think that they can continue to tax those of us work, and relentlessly so, in order to pay those who do not, and still expect those people to develop a desire to go out and find a job. Where’s the incentive in that? The priorities of a significant number of Americans are going to need to change, and somewhat drastically, if we, as a nation, plan on surviving, in our present form, very much farther into the future. There is no one among us who should expect to be able to sit back and do nothing and to still be provided with a free ride throughout their entire life. It's not fair to those of us who are responsible and work for a living, but just as important, maybe even more important, it's not fair to those who do not. Everyone needs a purpose in their life, and waiting for your next government check doesn't qualify. The 47 percent of American households who do not pay any federal income tax should not expect to be on the receiving end of any form of government benefits. Despite what Barry and the Democrats say, this is America and everybody, and I do mean every body, should be expected to pay their fair share toward the everyday maintenance of our government. Barry likes to talk about our society as needing to be more fair and equitable, but what better way to achieve such a lofty goal than to have every body chip in whatever they can. We all get protected by the police department, if our house catches on fire the fire department will come to any of our homes and our military fights to protect the country that we should all consider ourselves to be blessed that we live in.
And another thing that I can't quite seem to get my arms around is the continuing need of so many who are so fond of labeling Barry as being incompetent or disastrous. Sometimes I think that they might be much better served if they were to just not say anything and simply let him go about, hopefully, the expediting of his own demise through his continuing reckless and haphazard responses to any number of critical events as they continue to occur. While he may “appear” as being incompetent to many, that’s only if you're looking at him and what he's doing from the perspective of someone who loves their country and our way of life. If you happen to be looking at what Barry is doing and what he has managed to do since assuming office from his perspective as well as of those who share his anti-American and an anti-Capitalist views, than he has been, and continues to be very competent as well as successful. Let's review things, shall we? In 18 short months, this fugitive from realty has managed to assume control of 2 of our nations 3 auto makers, the entire student loan program, the entire healthcare industry, a significant portion of the banking and financial industry and now has his sights set squarely on the energy industry. Now if you're a Socialist and support this type of government acquisitions, or seizures, and view it as being some form of “progress” in the right direction toward that ever elusive utopia, well then it's my guess that you're not going to be viewing Barry as being anything near incompetent. On the contrary, you're going to be thinking that this guy is the greatest thing since sliced bread! So, I guess the big question that remains is which camp has the more folks in it, those who think he's competent and doing a great job, or those who think he's incompetent and think that the job he's doing sucks. That my friends, is the question that will be answered come November 2 of this year. A line is going to need to be drawn in the sand and if we choose not take advantage of the opportunity provided us to do so, it is not at all likely that a second chance will come along any time soon.
What we have seen happening over the course of the last 18 month is what happens when liberals, or "progressives", are given free reign and the opportunity to essentially govern uninhibited. Why do you think that states like California, New York and Michigan, to name only three, are in the financial straits that they are? And now we have people with essentially the same perverted mentality in charge in Washington. Now, you would think if you were in the position of governing a state you would take a look at the 49 other examples out there and see what is working and what isn't as a way of determining how you might proceed the going about of doing the best job possible for those who elected you. So, say you compare California with Texas. Which state would be the model to follow? Look, this is far from rocket science, obviously if you were wanting to ensure the prosperity of your citizens, California is not the example that you would want to use when formulating policies that would be the most beneficial to those in your state. And yet, that is the very model that our federal government consistently chooses to employ only on a much grander and more expansive scale. So I guess the question should be which example is it that the people would most like to see the federal government follow. Because that should be one of the determining factors when trying to decide which political party candidate they will vote for. I hear people complaining about the debt, taxes, the cost of gas and groceries and yet they go out and vote for Democrats. They are directly responsible of their own condition. Why is that? Is it denial on the part of the voter? Is it because the Democrat Party has been able to present their true agenda in such a manner as to keep it well under the radar of an unsuspecting public, or, is the public willing to put up with Democrat deception for some bizarre reason. So will this coming election prove to be a “moment of truth” where a sufficient number of people will finally be willing to say, "enough of this craziness, it's just not worth it?" Will they see we are now in over our head, or will we as a people remain so sickeningly apathetic and behave like mind numbed lab rats as we continue to keep forking over more of our money to a blatantly corrupt and rabidly out of control government bureaucracy? How much lower are we going to need to go before the outcry is of sufficient volume to make it impossible to be ignored by those strolling the halls of Congress or by the stellar individual residing in the sanctuary that is the Oval Orifice.
